Lugar retired because of possible challenges from The Tea Party and old age

All of the big name GOPers in the state are pro-Lugar. The Tea Party would get drilled in both the primary and the general. And for his old age, he is very aware and coherent.

Go Daniels!!! Nice TL. I think that Trump's candidacy will be quite interesting. I could see him running as an independent in the general after failing at the GOP nomination.

Even though Sarah is running a write-in campaign, I think I would still have to support Mitch. I think that Trump may show us something....Wink

The Douche will be President, the real public servant will be Vice-President.

I beg to differ (although it's not like I actually want Romney to be President, I just want Jindal to be the Vice).

I agree - Bachmann is never going to win outside of the 6th District anytime soon. But it's still a wonderful TL! Please continue.

Jindal is a terrible Governor and he'd be a terrible VP or President.

He has been a phenomenal Governor and would certainly make for a better President than any Democrat out there today. And in my opinion, it's quite impossible to be a bad Vice-President due to their total lack of responsibilities in non-emergency cases (i.e. 90% of the time).
