In an ideal Republican scenario, there is no reason that the GOP could not sweep the West Coast, Midwest, and pick up NJ, DE, CT, and ME.  MD may even be vulnerable in a total landslide.

Probably not. County maps of course make it look close, but really it's actually safer for the Ds than anywhere else.

The suburbs of Howard and Montgomery County seem elastic enough to make the state vulnerable.
