Even more hilariously, the article you linked refers to an ad by another candidate in another race in Wisconsin.

Seems the Lawson campaign was conned - they had a contract from an LA advertising agency that often does celebrity commercials saying Freeman would do the ad.  Still, that's pretty embarrassing, and they should have asked themselves why Freeman would do a commercial for only $4500.
