Siege, we will probably get better turnout when this seat is up for re-election around late-December....

I probably won't be online for that, but whoever wins must say the oath:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of (insert office name here), and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the Atlas Forum, so help me Dave.

The Polling Unit @ The National Atlasian now has enough data to project Governor Siege40 the winner of the open Senate race in District 2 with 98% Precients Reporting. The UL has now held the seat since the birth of the Constitution.

Siege40: 50%
Badnarikin04: 33%
MAS117: 16%

Thats when this forum had a low population. The turnout for our last special election (King v. Gabu for District 5 Senate) was 53%.

We need to figure out some way to advertise the Fantasy Elections to the rest of the boards.

How do the pollsters explain away the fact that the last 2% of precincts caused a swing of 14% to Siege? Wink

Maybe that 2% included Boston, Hartford, Newark, or some other major city in D2.

EXCLUSIVE: Fritz to Retire SoFA Post
Will Leave Office at the end of President PBrunsel's 1st Term in February

Sources within the Department of Forum Affairs have informed the National Atlasian that Secretary Fritz will retire shortly after the February 2005 Presidential Election. "I'm planning some big things in my personal life during the March-April-May time frame," said Fritz in a phone conversation with the National Atlasian, "I should not be holding any offices here in the spring."

Fritz is the longest serving cabinet member, being Secretary of Forum Affairs under the Gustaf, John F. Kennedy, and PBrunsel Administrations and Secretary of Labor under the Nym Administration.

We will have more on this story as it develops.

This won't be the final election and saying that stuff is what would really discourage members from participating.

NOTE, I said OF 2004 meaning there will be more in 2005!!!

I guess that the Southeastern Gubernatorial Election on the weekend of the 17th doesn't count as an Atlasian election then. Sad

Oh yeah. Sorry, what are you guys doing, not being concurrent? You would get higher turnout that way.

The National Atlasian: BREAKING NEWS

The National Atlasian has just received information from the bureau of elections in Mississippi, Texas, and Florida will not start counting absentee ballots in strong Harry areas due to voting machine irregularities, because of this we will be retracting our projection of WMS in District 4.
