Why can't he just eat fruit? Fruit at [redacted] sounds dirt cheap plus he has a discount card. And it will be right there for the taking around lunch time. He should be stuff his face with fresh fruit all day long.

I am starting to eat fruit.  I bought those mandarin oranges last Saturday and I had three of them Monday night after supper.  I didn't have any last night as I went to bed shortly after I got home, but I plan to have a couple more tonight before I go to bed.

Good start. Get berries too. And melons.

Just eat fresh fruits. Not juice, either. You don't need the sugar so much as the vitamins and fiber, which only happens in fruit.

Vegetables would be better for weight loss calorie wise, but weight loss is a pipe dream with you. Fruit as a treat with every meal would get you out of anemia and help lower your cholesterol.

After being "loved on" by a trusted Christian man, all the poor girl can see in the world is cockroaches.

It's definitely his best and only shot to not be unemployed for the rest of his life.

I would say swearing by certain foods is mostly placebo effect. The simple fact is refined carbohydrates digest faster than anything else and if you want to stay satisfied on less calories you need to be eating protein, fiber, and fat. If coconut oil is your fat of choice and gets you to stay on course, more power to you.

Good. Diversify, too. Add some blackberries, strawberries, kiwis, anything. Really, eat as many fresh fruits as you like. Do not count calories with fruit. It doesn't matter. Whatever amount fruit is needed to satisfy  your sweet cravings, go for it man. You need the fiber, vitamins, and minerals more than anything.

2.  I don't know why my SBC convention decided to use grape juice, but it doesn't matter.  It's not an issue for me.

But aren't y'all biblical literalists? It says take this wine and drink. No metaphor there.

Like I said, I don't know why.  Please don't ask me or even think of getting on to me for decisions that were made at the national level way before my time.

But see, you said you are in a personal relationship with Jesus not a religion. So shouldn't it be, literally, to hell with the SBC convention if what you read in study of the Bible is clearly different?

I believe the Biblical literalist types generally believe the Hebrew/Greek/whatever word for wine in the Bible always means a non-alcoholic fruit beverage, which they claim was super common back then and obviously what Jesus would have been drinking.

But then that's not biblical literalism... Jesus Christ SBC is a hypocritical sham.

Bushie have you been eating at Sprouts during your lunch break or are you driving to get food?

I actually haven't had anything at lunch except a swig from the water fountain.  I only get 30 minutes for lunch and I want to be off my feet as much as possible during that short break.  I will probably end up bringing my lunch, or I may just get lunch after I get home if I work the early, early shift like I will to start the month of April (4:00-12:30).  I don't really feel like eating a turkey wrap at 8:00 am which would be my meal break, so I may just get a bowl of cereal before I leave for work and then wait to eat until I get home.  It will really be on a day-by-day basis.  I probably won't do the same thing each day because of the variety of shifts I can work.

While it's well known skipping breakfast is bad for one's health, skipping lunch isn't good either.  It slows down your metabolism during the times when your body could be burning the most (active in the daytime) due to 10 hours or so between meals.   You should ideally snack on mixed nuts during your job and have a small lunch packed with protein and veggies but few carbs.  Eating 2 meals a day just kills your metabolism.

I'm not purposely trying to skip meals.  I am just trying to figure out the best way to work my meal break.  I am not going to have a turkey wrap at an 8:00 am lunch break.  I want a biscuit and eggs or something at that time of the morning, not a turkey wrap.  It may take me some time, but I'm trying to find a good routine for lunch and then throw that routine out the window because of the changing shifts.

I don't understand where this "turkey wrap" bit came from. Are you really so helpless that you can't figure out something else to eat for a 8AM break than a turkey wrap?

Buy a damn microwaveable egg-on-a-biscuit sandwich. Or a banana. You being unable to find a suitable breakfast meal while working at a supermarket makes me want to scream.

Man, he doesn't have a grill. How can you expect him to cook with that kind of impossible situation?

Tragic news, friends. A Google maps search has revealed ODF's new dream job is in fact located next door to an irresistible Whataburger that will no doubt be more convenient than getting food from the grocery store.

RIP buying healthy food
RIP job
RIP Bushie

Bushie's predictions are always sad to read. I belief he was supposed to be 150 lbs by now according to his 2013 weight projections.

He'd lose interest the same way. Any work bores him. If he got paid to watch sports, he'd lose interest.

Are Papa and Mama going to the grand opening?

No.  They don't want to make the drive all the way from Eastern Oklahoma County to Owasso.  That'd be a 2 hour drive and plus they don't like large crowds.

Let's be honest, Bushie.  They don't want to be surrounded by all these liberal health food fairies lest they might catch the gay.

Nah. Give them credit.

It's likely the distance. Plus, Sprouts isn't a large enough chain to earn the Brown family trust just yet.
