I wonder if Flaherty's wife will run?

Going from deputy leader to backbencher? Doubtful.

Getting messy. A state of electoral urgency has been declared there and in Scarborough. Riding association wasn't consulted, national brass say they don't share the traffic light info. Finally there's another candidate in: Ryan Davey, husband of riding association president Julia Metus.

If Vaughan won, would he have a chance under the new boundaries next year?

Ryan Davey is quitting the TrinSpa Grit race and isn't thrilled about it.

Yeah, leaders get their candidates if they want them. "Open nominations" was stupid to begin with. Especially with the Dithers psychodrama on appointments a decade ago.

Smid: what's hilarious is that Davey is the riding association president's husband.

4 federals are called for June 30. Not Whitby-Oshawa.

Will Jimmy K's indifference towards his party's nominee cost the Grits in SA?

My boring prediction: TrinSpa flips Red, rest are incumbent holds.

CPAC has an interesting series on 3/4 (not Fort Mac) of the by-elections.

My favourite federal by-election to have followed was undoubtedly Outremont '07.

Blizzard: vote Cressy because he's the best candidate and Vaughan's an asshole.

QP's panel all thought TrinSpa will be a major test for both leaders, DOOM for whichever party loses. Interestingly, Ivison said Grits told him they thought they'd have had a shot in FM had it not been a long weekend.
