Reagan in a real sense ran on being all things to all people within the context of groups whose support he thought would be valuable. One of these groups was racists, yes.

Also, 'Reagan Democrats' were people like David Lynch (the real person David Lynch, not a David Lynch character), not people like Archie Bunker.

They could but I doubt many would want to much like my current 87% Obama neighborhood.

Factors normal people use to decide where to live

Cost
Commute
Quality of schools

Obama's result in 2012

Guys, CrabCake is right on this issue. Like he said, "fiscally conservative and socially liberal" could describe anybody from Gary Johnson to Michael Bloomberg. If that doesn't convince you the term is meaningless bullsh**t, I don't know what will...

This is truly getting ridiculous. From now on, I will ostentatiously identify as someone who is fiscally conservative but socially liberal.

Believe me, I can completely understand what to use a term just because it makes certain people mad. However, using that term will tell people literally nothing about what you actually believe. I'm sure you can find more effective and creative ways of trolling those on the left. Wink

Is this like Torie's Hudson, NY threads? Or is there something I missed?

It's the only town of significant size in NH to vote against The Blessed One.

When you only made up your mind on this "Blessed One" like a week ago and now you want to burn his opponent's holdout to the ground, you are displaying immense mental weakness. You're like if a goldfish joined a cult.

About 95% of the hate he gets comes from people realising that they're basically him and hating that fact. Some kind of weird projected self-loathing.
