Low level staffer or not, this is not the sort of press any campaign wants. Even if the error was, any access to a rival campaign's data is grounds for restricting access to the voter file. It would be quite surprising if that data was not saved somewhere.

It doesn't really matter much, since Bernie Sanders is not going to win the nomination anyway.

Copying and exporting another campaign's voter file data is a serious violation of ethics. If this story had been about the Clinton campaign accessing Sanders' data and downloading it, Sanders supporters would be singing an entirely different tune.

Reporting the error after you've downloaded data is not really noble, it's more like taking advantage of a glitch and then attempting to cover your tracks.

Another question that has to be asked is that if Sanders staff was not trying to access Clinton data, how did they discover the glitch? It would be hard to discover such a glitch by accident.

You aren't in the party. And despite your ridiculous assertions, Clinton has ridiculously high favorability ratings among Democrats. There is no evidence that she will have any trouble getting their votes.

I'm a registered Democrat, but that will most likely be changing soon. I'm sure this will hurt her ability to get votes.

I'm sure you will be joining the Trump campaign when Bernie loses the nomination.

Yeah, I don't even care about this anymore. His staff stole data and he's a martyr or whatever. Ethics mean nothing anymore.

Good. It needs to be an option if the DNC doesn't show Bernie some basic respect immediately. Trump threatened to go 3rd party for far less than this.

Actually Trump threatened to go third party for more than this. Among others, they were threatening to take Trump's nomination away from him if he were to enter a brokered convention with the most delegates and popular votes.

A brokered convention is some crazy hypothetical. What the DNC did to Bernie is most definitely not a hypothetical.

What the Sanders campaign stole from the Clinton campaign, which took millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours to compile, is also definitely not a hypothetical. It happened.

Bernie didn't steal Hillary's data. The DNC just stole Bernie's data, though.

With all due respect, you are not being realistic at all. It is evident know that his staff saved voter data from the Clinton campaign, which is an ethical breach. No one stole anything from Bernie, his campaign got locked out because of underhanded staffers.
