No earlier than 12.00 PM EST (not EDT!) on Friday, November 2, 2012, the Senate is requested to begin a period of forty-eight hours debating amidst itself on who shall serve as its President pro tempore for its fifty-second sitting. These forty-eight hours having elapsed, at 12.00 PM EST on Sunday, November 4, 2012, I will open a vote for the position. This will last one hundred and twenty hours or until six votes are attained for any candidate. Once the President pro tempore is elected, this thread will be opened to discussion of Committee positions, which may last until 1.00 PM EDT on Sunday, November 8, 2012, at which point a seventy-two-hour vote will be opened.

I will be proctoring all said votes until further notice.

NC Yankee or anybody else, please feel free to point out any irregularities in this.

I'd like to apologize for any of the confusion here that I may be implicated in having caused.

Regardless, it's time to vote for PPT.

The document in which I was tabulating the votes wasn't saved when I accidentally turned off my computer. I'm in a bad mood. What's happened is that Yankee, Oakvale, and Nix are on GOR; Ben, Hagrid, and Snowstalker (who was called Snowman on the ballot because of whimsy and sleep deprivation) are on NSC; Oakvale, Marokai, and Hagrid are on Judiciary; and there was a four-way tie for Judiciary. I'm giving everyone twenty-four hours to work all this out and declare for chairmanships. If anybody wants to fault my math be my guest.

Snowstalker, yes I meant a tie for IA. Nix, if that's the rule then yes, Marokai is eliminated. The IA committee comprises you, Snowy, and Simfan.

Nix is Chair of GOR. Ben is Chair of NSC. Simfan is Chair of IA. Oakvale is Chair of Judiciary. Go forth and legislate.
