People are acting like its a huge deal that Democrats are loosing in reliably conservative states.

This isn't 2010, where Democrats in blue states like Illinios, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin lost.

Democrats are winning in blue states and roughly splitting the states that were competitive in 2012.  Virginia, Iowa, Colorado, New Hampshire, and North Carolina are 2012 battleground states with Senate races this year, and Democrats are on track to win 3 out of 5 of those races.

So yeah, election night will be painful for Democrats, but I'm not going to pretend that because we lost close races states like Alaska, Arkansas, and Kentucky, its a bad omen for the party.
