But it was not ISIS. They have taken credit for attacks like this before, but it was not them, for they are not on American soil.

I'm not saying it was ISIS. I am saying it was ISIS inspired. Big difference. One does not need to be part of ISIS to commit a terrorist act that otherwise might not have happened without their online propaganda campaign.

yeah of course a man with a muslim name can't possibly have any motives besides islamist terrorism.if it had been a white guy, though, i'm sure it would've been due to mental illness, right?

Yeah, that seems to be the prevailing case in a vast majority of spree shootings by white people besides the recent Charleston shooting. Just like when a Kuwaiti with a father on a terrorist watch list who happens to be Muslim usually is inspired by radical Islam.
