FDR is a very good candidate and keeps it much closer than previous Democratic nominees since 1920, but still falls short to win back the presidency for his party.

President Herbert C. Hoover (R-CA)/Vice President Charles Curtis (R-KS): 294 EV. (51.75%)
Governor Franklin Delano Roosevelt (D-NY)/Speaker John Nance Garner (D-TX): 237 EV. (46.86%)
