From Tom Smith's website:
The bolded is dishonest. It pains me to see Republican candidates misrepresenting the truth so flagrantly. I lose a lot of respect for candidates, Democrat or Republican, who feel they can simply make up their own facts to sell their point. Job growth is slower than where it needs to be, everyone agrees on that. The effectiveness of Obama's policies in changing that is up for debate. What isn't up for debate are the statistics on private sector job creation, which has been showing a net positive since early 2010. Unless Tom Smith is arguing for more public sector jobs, then he is misrepresenting reality. Good candidates do not need this sort of dumbassery to make their point and I'm disappointed that Tom Smith believes that he does.
That said, I've never thought much of Bob Casey. I find him to be pompous, entitled, and especially ineffective (0-324 on sponsored legislation since taking office isn't a good selling point). I would begrudgingly vote for the desperate Republican.
