Ah I remember 2004, I think it's the only time I've rooted for Sweden only to draw one of their matches rather than winning.

There is a strong correlation between Italian soccer successes and global tragedies. For example, in 2006 the Azzurri won the World Cup, and in 2006 the Italians won the World Cup.

One thing we, as Azzurri fans, have to accept is that jealousy of haters. Great people must carry great burdens.

People aren't jealous of annoying graddies, that are just things we have to bear with, they can make a lot of noise and tricky things but in the end it doesn't have much consequences most of the time, it's like something which is part of the landscape...

Typical jealous French Wink

I'm watching on the ESPN app as I'm en route to NYC. I noticed that the picture was very fuzzy then saw "SHAKHTAR" spelled out in the seats. I'm thinking, "Wow, Ukraine really couldn't get anyone to buy tickets?" Immediately after that, it was suspended. Sad

Ok, bottom line: the current tiebreaker rules suck.

Yeah, I'm hoping my prediction is wrong this time and the Greeks make it out of the group instead of the Czechs. Cheesy

If there is a 2-2 tie on Monday along with Italy winning, this really is 2004 all over again.

Shouldn't Russia be advancing with a better goal difference?

UEFA has silly/different rules than FIFA.

Something told me to switch over to the German match. Literally five seconds after I did, a bullet into the back of the net!

That's why I posted what I posted. Wink

There's also the fact that Ireland have played Italy on 18 June before.

It is, unfortunately, nearly impossible to see how we could produce anything similar again tonight.

Yeah, I knew that. Tongue
