For future reference, put International Soccer/Football posts in the 2014 World Cup Qualifying thread. Wink

Those of us in the U.S. have the pleasure (well, those of us with nothing better to do right now) of watching the Lief-Al Derby. Right now, Al is surely the happier of the two.

Great news! Serie A starts in a few hours.

Horrible news! It was just confirmed that Serie A matches have vanished from FSC because some new network (not yet available outside of DirecTV and DiSH network) bought the broadcasting rights. I'm livid. I knew something was up when I went through the guide earlier in the week to check which games would be covered this weekend and didn't see anything from Italy.  Sad

Napoli had to open the season away to Palermo. No problem though: a beautiful 3-0 spanking. We sit atop the table (with Inter) on goal difference.

Cavani just signed a new contract with Napoli that won't expire until 2017! Cheesy

Doesn't get much more awesome than that Champions League group of death.

Just about to post that! Should be great.

I love that City get screwed for the second year in a row. I guess A is the most open group.

Napoli got a nice group in the Europa League draw. We should definitely progress with PSV Eindhoven.

After going to St. Anthony's feast last week, I am now the owner of a SSC Napoli T-shirt and I just ordered RAI Italia for the month...  so Um, Congrats Phil.....Smiley

Haha, Roma grabbed a big away win. Sorry for you and your brother.  Tongue

But Napoli just won, grabbing all three points again and remain at the top of the table. I'm really hoping the streak continues since I'll be at the San Paolo when they play next! Cheesy

Oh...uh...RAI International doesn't show full matches each weekend; they show goals and other highlights from action around the league shortly after it happens in the respective match.

You're going to have to get beIN Sports network: it's a new sports channel on cable here. If you have Comcast, you should be able to subscribe soon.

Ah, Comcast doesn't have RAI Italia. Sad  They did fairly recently get Mediaset though but beIN should be enough for me.

I might not be at the San Paolo tomorrow but I'll be watching with some friends either way. I can't wait to experience a Serie A Sunday in Italy (especially here)! Cheesy

Got to the San Paolo! Wonderful experience and a nice win. Too bad the bastards (Juve) battled back late in their game to win, otherwise we'd be at the top by ourselves (or if we didn't give up that fluke header goal right before half time).

Ignoring the exciting start to the Champions League since Napoli isn't in it this season... Tongue

We start our Europa League campaign today! Any of the Swedes here able to tell me a bit about AIK?

Biggest league game of the season this Saturday - my boys vs. Juventus. Both teams are undefeated/level on points. Juve's only advantage is a two goal advantage on goal difference. Obviously a win for either side will be huge. Can't wait. Smiley
