Oh God. I figured Braum's was like an Arby's. Instead, it's much, much worse. I guess the silver lining is that they didn't try to pass it off offensively by calling it "Alfredo's" or "Mama DiRosa's" or something.

It's not an Italian place. Huh

Is this a question?

The joint is called a spaghetti "warehouse," is it not? Then again, I guess I should have known that in most places in our great country, that doesn't mean Italian.

Braum's and Spaghetti Warehouse are two different chains. We have a Spaghetti Warehouse in Memphis. Sadly, we do not have a Braum's.

Oh, I missed the "&" in the screenshot about Braum's being robbed. I thought it was "Braum's Spaghetti Warehouse." This makes more sense. We also had a Spaghetti Warehouse in Philly. My friends dragged me there once. So sickening.

Does anyone think BushOK will follow in my footsteps and take a vacation day on Monday to watch the Supercoppa Italiana between Juventus and Napoli?

what kind of pre-season super cup is played in December??!?

Napoli requested that it be moved because it was originally scheduled between our two CL playoff matches.

You a Napoli fan, KP?

This is a well known Forum Fact.

Yuck, yuck, yuck. Their decline down the league table can't come quickly enough.

You might be moving down a spot on my buddies page if that does not occur lol (I'm not holding my breath - Juventus is strong as ever this year)

More like rest of the league is still average, at best.

Isn't it weird that Bushie spends months focusing on Christmas, but then a week before Christmas he's already moved on to focusing on focusing on New Years?

I swear I thought the same thing the other day and was going to post it on his FB. Another mystery surrounding Our Dear Friend.

Bushie, I think it's time to put any diet aside and celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles' elimination from the postseason with some authentic Italiano a la Domino's Pizza.

Ugh, you're another one. Enjoy the Wildcard game. See you very soon.

Doesn't post about Christmas during the week of the actual holiday because he posted too much about it going back to, oh, June or so. But rest assured, he won't make the obvious change by not talking about it too much so early next year. No, no. In fact, he'll probably start earlier and get it out of his system by Veterans' Day!

Yeah, good idea living the 365 days ahead of you before worrying about the next 365.

New Years is definitely a holy holiday for Bushie. It means we only have 6-9 years left before the rapture instead of 7-10.

Funny enough, it is a holy day for Roman Catholics (but not because it's New Years). But don't tell our Protestant friends that! They wouldn't like the reason for the holy day!

Wow! What an early Christmas treat! Not sure which is better: Our Dear Friend's views on the Holy Father or his uncertainty about Moscow's location.

For those concerned that BushOK is watching too many nations celebrate the new year, I guess we can at least rule out him watching The Vatican ring in 2015.

As a fake Catholic, I find Bushie's views on my Pope deeply offensive.

Also the fact that Bushie is waking up hours early to watch a clock on a website turn to midnight ranks in the top 5 weirdest Update things, I think.

I honestly thought he'd be watching a live telecast of some celebration in Kiribati, but no, that would have slightly mitigated the weirdness of this behavior.

Wait...don't one of the cable news networks show some live celebration? I'm now literally in tears and laughing on the train thinking that he is just watching a countdown on a website.

I want everyone to know that I was laughing so hard about the Kiribati countdown earlier today that someone actually asked me what the hell was so funny as she exited the train.

am i understanding this correctly:  bushie is going to get up at 4am to watch some clock on a website?  but he only cares about when the 'civilized' countries ring in the new year.

You mean you're not going to do that?

Yeah, I remember this from years past: isn't his tree down the very next day? Makes zero sense.

Apparently Our Dear Friend and I were in the same state today. AMA.

And I have a friend moving to Texas soon. Before even seeing BushOK's status, I suggested to my friend that we meet up with Our Dear Friend.

Not that anyone cares, but my cousins are safe and sound at their house in Cameroon.

Will they be following the Africa Cup of Nations next month?

I highly doubt it.  Now, if I were there, I might have indulged.

Ah, let me clarify: the Africa Cup of Nations is a Soccer tournament, not an ice cream dessert item.

I finally have more respectable New Year's Eve plans.  24 hours ago, one of my best friends from high school invited me over to her house in Choctaw at 1730 Wednesday to ring in 2015 with her and her family.  We'll probably play some games and watch New Year's Rockin' Eve.  I won't have to spend New Year's Eve alone!!

!!!

I'm not sure many people on this forum would attend with me since there will be no fermented beverages.  They have three kids, the older two are non-verbal autistic, so alcohol in the house would be a bad idea.  The parents want to set a responsible example to them.  Especially since I still have to drive 3 miles home at 0030.  I would love some wine, but I can't/don't want to stay the night there, so I'd better be a good boy and leave the wine alone!

If it wasn't over a day's drive away, I'd be there!

I'll be fatigued enough as it is, I don't want to pass out like a bum on their living room floor from being too relaxed...

...

I tried to speak words in response to this but I literally couldn't speak for about ten seconds.
