With all the ''So and so dies at #" threads, I thought a thread about somebody living was in order. While some conspiracy nuts think Elvis died back in 1977 of a drug overdose, we all know He is still among us. The drug overdose was merely a planted story designed to discredit Him. Fortunately I learned in a school assembly that Elvis never did drugs, so it couldn't be true.
The bit about the school presentation is true. I think it was in 7th grade, but definitely in middle school not too long after Elvis was reported to have died, that we had a guy with a traveling reptile exhibit come by and do an assembly, during which he mentioned in an aside about having known Elvis and that Elvis couldn't possibly have died of drugs since he never used them.
