My problem with this bill is the huge cost a court inevitably brings, which benefits no one but the lawyers. I'd also like to see an exemption for small family businesses.

What happens if the court rules the dismissal was justified? Will it be additional compensation?

No, if the dismissal is justified than the compensation will be what has been agreed before.

Sorry about that-I meant unjustified.

There are about 12 hours until this bill must be put for a vote. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Right debate time is up- so this debate was not pointless I'm proposing one final amendments before we move to a vote:

I thought about allowing tenure to be optional, but that's kind of the status quo, so I decided it wasn't necessary.

Unless Secretary Earthling deems this friendly, I'll open the vote on it tomorrow morning, and we'll have the final vote 24 hours later.

With 4 Ayes and one representative not voting, the bill passes.
