I find it hard to comprehend how many cannot admit and reconcile the fact that our superpower status - both economic and military-based - along with the biggest reduction in income inequality, largest amount of economic growth and the greatest standard of living ever achieved in this world was done during the time at which America was the closest that it has ever been to socialism.
