Problem is that an IRV system won't be put in place for the next election, unless Harper goes batsh**t crazy or suffers a massive brain injury and decides to reform the voting system that has benefited him so much over the years.

Oh and this is weird, but if you do a google search for "NDP" then the first result which comes up is the party's website, whose subtext still says, "Canada's social democratic party led by Jack Layton...." Are the people who run the website asleep at the wheel or something?

If Mulcair is perceived as moderate, even if he isn't, that can only be a good thing.
Yeah...just not too moderate.  And I hope he doesn't succeed in trying to drop the "socialist" wording from the NDP's constitution....and I also hope he talks about taxing the rich....PLEASE!  The NDP is social democratic, after all...ACT LIKE IT!  And if I hear him say "sustainable development" or "competent public administration" one more time, I swear my head will explode.

Nothing.  It's just that he's said it so many times that it's getting annoying, as is the same case with "We are a team of skilled women and men who are capable of providing competent public administration.".

Or, he would have been, pre-2011 (and certainly not provincially in places like Manitoba)
Meh.  West of the Ontario/Manitoba border, he'd be a right-wing Dipper like Roy Romanow.  East of it, he'd probably be an interlooper depending on the situation at the time between the NDP and the Liberals, like Bob Rae.  Oh, and in any case, he'd have the warmongering instinct of Harper back in the Reform days.  Interesting combination.

And yet for their projected seat totals, they give the NDP 15. WTF?
I know.  Based on the 2011 results, I'd say probably closer to:
PC's-49
Liberals-34
NDP-24
