I forgot something: The polls closed at 11:59 PM Central time. I apologize for starting the celebration early and even congradulating WiseGuy on what I thought was a victory.

We'll just have to hold another runoff. Tongue

Discuss the elections here instead of the voting booth.

I understand completely if you didn’t want to vote for me…  But why BRTD?!?  Am I really that bad?

I’m sorry to be the one to inform you that your vote won’t count, according to Section II, Article I, Clause IV:

“The election will be held by instant runoff voting (IRV).  No write-in candidates will be accepted.  You must preference all candidates.  If both of those provisions are violated, the ballot will be considered spoiled and will be thrown out.  If only one of them is, the ballot will be placed aside in case of a tie.”

I’m not sure what will happen to your vote on the propositions.  The amendment that I wrote (which is on the ballot this election) will give you back your right to write-in.

Well, even if it's unconstituational, I don't think you can throw out her vote. The official ballot reads

Governor

Valid selections:
CheeseWhiz (ACA-NE)
Write-in      <------
Abstain

So her vote isn't really invalid, the ballot itself is.

I know a lot of people in District 4 who are planning to vote later this weekend.

Ditto. Nobody should be counting any chickens like in the Guberntorial race.

ThePrezMex's vote will not count.  He only has 23 posts in-between election votes.

WTF? How many posts do you need?
