No. Firstly, I think Assad did what he did because he's been allowed to get away with it and that is our fault. As much as it's nice to see Trump has some sort of conscience, striking immediately because of TV pictures (and in response to human slaughter, rather than military action) might be the sort of thing you and I would want to do (and it's what I would want to do), but not the sort of thing a President should be doing. Particularly if you tell the Russians who tell the Syrians and the net effect is nothing. You can act just as swiftly and indeed more effectively if you coordinate your response.
