I hate to be anti-technology here, but we need to go back to a system that can't be hacked, such as purely mechanical voting machines or even paper ballots. 

High tech isn't always better. Paper ballots, with good oversight and chain of custody rules will serve just fine for everything except feeding those impatient for news.
