British ones, not American ones.

I love them. I love (American) biscuits, a great deal, and scones are like cake biscuits. Best thing ever.

I have no idea what the difference is between American and British scones, but the only kind of scone I've ever eaten (across the county, in Texas, DC and NY) is a FF.

British scone- soft and fluffy like an American biscuit. Scones with jam and clotted cream and tea- the best thing ever, sans fried plantain.

American scone- hard and dry, like a British biscuit.

Essentially...

skon = correct
skOne = bourgeois

I always thought it was the other way around. Because I thought that calling it a "skon" would be an affection too far. I've only heard "skohwn" in any case.

Anyway this is far too confusing. Just give me my Darjeeling, clotted cream, and scones and I'll be happy.
