I'm just throwing some ideas out for discussion- don't take this as the platform of the caucus.

- Support for safe, accessible,  and legal abortion
- Generally supportive of free trade agreements
- Supportive of a compassionate and realistic immigration policy, including increased legal immigration
- Support liberalization of sex and drug policies at regional and federal level
- Pursue comprehensive environmental protection and restoration legislation
- Create a prosperous business envrionment by avoiding overregulation

This is fine with me. Smiley

Legalization of the practice of abortion in the first weeks of pregnancy, particularly in cases of rape or eventual life risk for the mother.

Free and mandatory sexual and drugs education for teenagers.

Defense of LGTB rights, including marriage and child adoption.

Defense of stem cell research.

Legalization of the consumption of all drugs.

Legalization of limited homegrown of Canabbis for personal consumption.

Death Penalty is barbaric.

Taxes should be progressive. New taxes, if necessary, should never be applied to low and middle income homes.

Help the individual and the families, not corporations.

Support  of consumer defense organizations.

Fight against monopolies or oligopolies.

Oppose unnecessary bureaucracy; if community can follow these principles, government should stay way.

War should never be declared because of ideology, only in cases where national security is at risk.

Free Trade agreements is the best way to create prosperity, both in Atlasia and foreign countries.

Are we proposing official platforms to presumably vote on yet, or are we still brainstorming? Tongue

Brainstorming.

Anyway, I'm fine with Napoleon's ideas.

Thanks. Smiley

Where should the caucus stand on national health care and guns?

I think we should stay neutral in both issues and give liberty of action for our members.

What about game reform?

I think we should promote finding solutions to decrease costs, and let individual members support whatever way they feel is best. As far as guns, I think it would be best to just leave it at "We support safe, and responsible gun ownership." It leaves enough room for some to still support mild gun control and those who don't.

Aye!!! Aye!!!!

Even though those ideas, I want to add a minimum of health care support for the poorest 5% of the nation.

I had made in the last day some harsh comments against an ex-user of atlasia.

I did it in my way and with total conviction of what I was doing.

If you think that I may leave, please tell me.

Ladies and Gentelmen!
I propose a merger of Liberal and National Centrist Party into one so we can became a powerful moderate party that would seek independent and common-sense based solutions for the people of Atlasia.

Why not? Smiley

If I may interrupt, would a lighter shade of blue work? Darker blue has been used by the AFRNC and ACA, and medium blue by the DA.

Don't worry I'm also trying to ensure some level of uniqueness for the Social Democrats as well!! Tongue

I don't like light blue ¬¬

My tastes lean in the direction of minimalism, so here's my entry -

Simple, direct, completely absent of distracting clutter and, more importantly, blue.

Even though Scott's proposal had many of my suggestions, I still like Napoleon platform 'cause it puts things in a simple way. Maybe other members would like to add more ideas or change something in particular (abortion could be a problem).

As for the logo, why don't we just say:

"The Liberal Party will be represented with a torch as a symbol and the color blue".

I'd like to open voting on all this fairly soon, to elect some leadership, decide on a platform, and of course the all-important logo. Tongue

Yes, Mein Fuhrer.

Great, but I'll never be in a party that supports Death Penalty.

Anyways, Teddy, you should include all the members of the former Liberal Caucus in the wiki entry, not just the so-called "leaders". I don't remember voting for any leader in the Caucus.

Why not:

"It's a party founded by..." and include them all?

Or simply add a separate section of the article for members.

Yeah, that would be fine.

It's just a stub, and pingvin has left the party, so perhaps just the other 4?

Why did he leave?

And as it was said before, perhaps we should leave the members (all of them) for the end of the wiki page.

For example, why should dallasfan be ignored?

"The Liberal Party was founded by a member of former members of the Liberal Caucus of the JCP [1] and the majority of members of the National Centrists [2]".

And, at the end:

[1] oakvale, napoleon, scott, and the rest of the guys.
[2] Teddy and the rest of the guys.

My concern is not personal. But the problem is that in these days only 4 or 5 people have been working in the party "foundation", when I want most of the members being involved. And I don't want them to feel ignored.

Again, it's a stub on an editable wiki. If you guys don't like what I've written so far, feel free to re-write it.

My apologies, I'm new here. But thank you Teddy for creating the wiki entry.
