I don't know much about Alberta politics, but a quick Google search was pretty nauseating in regard to how it portrayed this election as a "done deal" and claimed the real battle was for second place. I don't doubt that the PCs are probably favored, but this certainly doesn't help move provincial politics any further from a one-party hegemony I'd assume...

Is Blakeman cooked or does she have any chance at all?

My predictions- another huge divergence from the polls.

PCs- 51
NDP- 19
WR- 16
Lib- 1

You heard it here first.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong.

If the NDP get up (as looks likely), this is the equivalent of Labor winning the North Shore, right?

Basically, at least in the historical shock value.

How are they going to come up with the $2.2 million in fees they need to pay WRP if they cross the floor?

Peace River seems to be one vote apart. They may have to call back a declaration.

Is this from the CBC? For it still only has 58/66 booths in there.

EDIT- It's Calgary-Glenmore (Njall's riding?)

I want to hear Njall's and Lotuslander's thoughts on recent events. (for different reasons)

Njall's MLA lost (or is losing). Wonder if he'll finally join the dark side.

As for the map, it looks a lot like an election map of Saskatchewan now!

No, she's tied with ALL the votes in.

Apparently 58.5%.

Why does CBC say NDP won Peace River even though it says PC has more votes?

They haven't updated raw vote results in over 2 hours.

If  the PC and WRP parties merged you will get the following results:

PC-WRP - 60 seats
NDP - 25
LIB - 1
AP - 1

That's assuming the PC and WRP voters will vote for a merge party.

What if you merged NDP-Lib-AP?
