There appears to be some outrage by the non-racists of America complaining that the reverse-racists are forcing a too-black actor upon their childhood.

Yes it seems very convoluted, I'm sure there are some people complaining about any Black actors in any movie, but it would be nice that we would see some citats or links to the people doing it, instead of saying just saying that someone do it.

Of course what I have found there are some STAR WARS NERDS complaining about him because he's not a clone (of Boba Fett's clone father), which make little sense, as the film are 60 year after the clone war, and I really expect the empire to have embraced some kind of conscription of or just recruitment among the general population the after they took power.

J.J. Abrams' inability to hold a shot for longer than one-fifth of a second aside, it's not as if anyone is worried that he will make a movie that doesn't look good.

I agree, but even through some people here have a irrational dislike of Marvel movies, I hope Disney have learned the lesson from them, that scenery is not enough, you also need a coherent story.

Those who've seen it: did it seem similar to J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movies to you?

Because I didn't care for either one of those. I'd actually rate the SW prequels above them - at least they were memorable.

There was some similarity, but it was more in the fact that the movie lacked breaks, sometimes it was like everybody had off screen teleportation, which enable them to be the place Abrams wanted them to be even through there was no way they could be there. Also the timeline for the movie felt like it was 2-3 days, but thing developed like the movie had month of off screen personality development.

The worst part was the movie was good, but it felt like it could have been great, if Abrams had decided to make less fan service. A major ark was completely unnecessary, but it was included for the fans.
