A Child of Our Time, Michael Tippett's oratorio about Kristallnacht (the 'child' referenced in the title is Herschel Grynszpan). It's the 1991 recording conducted by Tippett himself. Since his death, Tippett has become rather unfashionable (though this particular work remains popular), which is a shame.
