That's an early announcement. It's a smart move to go for an office Attorney Generals often get elected to, and that his dad has never held.

It would, though, be interesting to see him get elected to the Senate when Carper retires.
Sure.

But it would be different if it's 2024 and Biden's a Governor finishing his second term presumably eight years after his father left elected office.

Coons has some rightwing votes, likes rejecting the last justice nominee.

Seriously, both are bad and should be replaced. The DE Republican Party is dead, no need to support corporatist democrats anymore.
There are a lot of retired Pennsylvania police officers in Delaware. Voting against  Adegbile isn't likely to hurt Coons.
