I'm sure she's willing to go with an ethnic minority, and that several will be vetted.

The Democratic bench includes several potential ethnic minorities who could be good fits for her.

Julian Castro is a strong western surrogate, with a mix of executive experience and policy chops after running a Cabinet Department. As a second term congressman, Joaquin Castro isn't quite there yet.

Xavier Becerra is another westerner, who has been in the congressional leadership and is comfortable with media appearances.

Anthony Foxx has a similar resume to Castro (Young big-city mayor + US Cabinet), and comes from the swing state of North Carolina.

Cory Booker has unique appeal to younger voters, and is a young Senator with interesting executive experience, and comfort with a high profile.

It's possible she'll go with a white guy, but it's not because she's already decided that she needs to limit her selection to white running mates.

Any Asian Americans who might be considered for VP by Hillary?

Probably not.

Gary Locke's old and relatively obscure. He was also uncomfortable with the limelight after giving the State of the Union response

There are a few Asian-Americans in congress, but there isn't anyone who seems to be the right fit for Hillary (Male, Born after 1956, with at least three terms in the US House.)

I don't understand why Castro's name is always mentioned but not the dozens of Latino House member Ds have. His brother is far more qualified than him but his name is never mentioned.

I feel like Julian speaking at the DNC2012 shows that the party is slightly higher on him than Joaquin. both will go far I believe. Also at the moment Julian has executive experience, despite it being as a mayor, which is one thing Hillary lacks.

Julian spoke at the DNC because he was mayor of one of the ten most populated cities in the country, while his brother was a member of the minority party in the lower house of the Texas Congress who was about to become one of 535 voting members of the US Congress.
