I answer this in terms of the forum and in a wider scope (a more interesting question)

Most discussed? ohio (maybe not this instant but in the last few years)

Least discussed? Oklahoma, Hawaii, the Dakotas.

Most overrated in the terms of the discussion it receives in relation to its importance?
Ohio by a mile; as well as the other 'rust belt' states. Important in electoral politics but I find the whole 'heart land' land thing to be a bunch of bull. States like NY and later CA built this country and have successfully transitioned from pre-industrial through to the post industrial era. CA is #1 in agriculture in America and NY has maintained a formidable position in finance.

Most underrated in the terms of the discussion it receives in relation to its importance?
perhaps the Mid-Atlantic states
