This party is a disorganized, comatose mess. Can we PLEASE get peoplle talking in here?

I would like to recommend that we hold a vote to officially endorse 3 candidates from the following list:

[ ] BaconKing (LIB-GA)
[ ] Franzl (LIB-IL)
[ ] Marokai Blue (LAB-IA)
[ ] NVTownsend (LIB-NV)
[ ] Seatown (LAB-WA)
[ ] Snowstalker (LAB-WV)

I'm creating an actual ballot, should be up shortly.

I would like to know why Franzl, Bacon King, and NVTowwnsend- three very worthy candidates- have been omitted from this ballot?Huh?

I am boycotting this endorsement vote until such time as a proper and complete ballot is presented.
Too many candidates, I'm redoing the ballot right now.

Back in 2009, the RPP tried strategic registration. It left a bad taste in everybody's mouth and temporarily revitalized the anti-regionalist movement. Naturally not everyone is registered where they are in real life, but directly encouraging other people to move is a dangerous path to tread.
Why would you be afraid of this?

I actually used to live in E. TN I moved to the south because it had an active legislature, and wanted to participate in the game after my defeat in the Senate. "Operation Cottonfield" was dubbed after me and opebo moved.

I would suggest Albany, the most unionized city in US.

I think the Labor leadership has dwindled to Griff and I.
I think I've actually called more votes than you or Griff Tongue

I'm on cheap beer : much more working class...
Crack cocaine is accessible to working class too...

When do we want to start our new convention in Birmingham? I was thinking maybe after the Mideast elections are completed?
After the IDS elections?

I think that we should have regular votes for party positions.

Do we have to automatically endorse people in every election ? I mean our candidates are ok, and sometimes other parties' candidates why not, but does it need to be a rule ? As it's written in the by-laws, it seems as if we're required to endorse as many people as there are seats available in each election.

Also, there are two other alternatives to the election of the Politburo that we might consider :
- 3-member tickets are running as a bloc (Chair, VC, SG), one member cannot be on two different tickets, we vote on the tickets, that would as a consequence reduce the number of candidacies, or even prevent that we ever had two tickets running against each other, which can strengthen party unity but also reduce internal debate and renewal
- we have a separate election for each position, a member can or cannot run for different positions, which would maximize the amount of candidacies, but could get a bit frustrating if someone who ran for all three positions gets two of them and has to choose, or gets one whereas someone who dedicated oneself to a position in particular doesn't.

Again I really think the Vice-Chair is a more political as in ideological role, and Secretary General deals with logistics and personnel. The Chair of course deals with both and rules.
My opinions are bolded.

Three points:

1) Whoever is elected Vice-Chair will given the task of creating our Platform, so that could be a good campaign issue
2) We need someone to run for Secretary General
3) Chair and Vice-Chair candidates should think about who they'd appoint to their by-laws and platform committee's

I would like to advocate for my election as Secretary(whip). I think I have been responsible for many of the functions of that position for the past few months. I have done the necessary work to increase labor's turnout in the last several elections, and contributed to the increased electoral clout of Labor in the IDS along with Adam Griffin. Also I have been elected as a Senator before.
