Tim Pawlenty is boring, but he does have a certain warmness about him. He's the prototypical Midwesterner who doesn't get any of the jokes on Comedy Central but will help you shovel the snow off your driveway and put the chains on your tires for you.

Scott Walker reminds me of Agnew. I don't know why, he just does. There's this slithery, unseemly quality about him that just gives me the creeps.

None of the Democratic shortlisters are people I'd expect to get an arena of people fired up. They lost most of their charisma when the populist Clinton/Edwards wing of the party atrophied away.
