FWIW instead of moving back to Tulsa for no reason, maybe Bushie should look at North Dakota instead. My mom said that the job market in Bismarck now is so hot that you can make $12/hour at McDonald's.

Yes! I would like to see a season where Bushie takes a stab at becoming an oil man.

There will be blood...and that blood will be full of cholesterol.

so, let me get this straight:  not only is bushie wasting his mom's money on rent, he wasted all of that money on gas to drive back to tulsa for one night to watch a ball game on his super duper cable package?

wtf did you go back to tulsa for one night?

Bushie has said that needs to go back weekly to 'check on things' or something.

Guys, how else would he know if the apartment had burned down in his absence unless he drove out there on a weekly basis? There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

It's pretty obvious that he just enjoys having a place to escape to in Tulsa every once in a while. Obviously it doesn't stand to logical scrutiny, but that has to be his motivation.

Papa Bushie has the Train Room that's in his own home and has a few hundred dollars worth of trains.

Bushie fils has a fully furnished apartment in another city that costs hundreds of dollars a month in rent, utilities and cable.

Kind of hard to justify having a place to escape from reality when you're never anywhere near reality to begin with.

Did Jeff put a Christmas tree up in the Tulsa apartment? Might as well.

Alright, I've had enough, guys.  I'm done being treated like crap on this forum.

This forum has had enough of your attitude towards other people's money:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=200654.msg4349748#msg4349748

It's my money and if I want to be "financially wasteful", I should be allowed to.

What money, Jeff? Tell us what your net worth is. Tell us how many of your bills you have ever paid entirely by yourself in your life.

I know other people like you who have your general attitude toward money and work and I have little respect for them either. Like you, they are fundamentally selfish, undisciplined and narcissistic people. But the difference is that their parents have enough money to string them along indefinitely without jeopardizing their own financial situation. They have trust funds or family businesses where they can stick them in an office somewhere and pay them to not screw things up. Your parents don't have any of that. They live in a damn trailer and yet have to pay for their 32 year old son to maintain an apartment, furnishings, utilities and cable that he only uses a couple of times a month. I don't care if you technically pay the rent yourself. By paying that rent, that is money you're not using to pay off your own debts and by extension money that your parents are having to front to "snowball" your bills.

Other people around here are going to pat you on the head like you're a damn six year old because you packed your lunch all by yourself for two consecutive days. You may think none of your "sins" matter but I'm enough of a realist to know that you've always been an SOB and always will be an SOB.

Cancel Tulsa, cancel cable or RIP your parents finances forever.

I'd say their finances are pretty much shot at this point. They don't own a real brick-and-mortar home that would have equity and be appreciating in value. They have a trailer home, which is titled like a car, can only depreciate and cannot be borrowed against except at usurious interest rates. Who knows if they even own the land it sits on.

Hopefully Papa Bushie is old enough to have been vested for a defined-benefit pension from Northrop Grumman or whichever quasi-government corporation he works for.

bushie shouldve gotten the mba.  it would have been better to go in debt for that rather than cad(D)

At least half of an MBA program is networking with companies and fellow students. How well is Jeff going to do at a mixer when he refuses to drink? And we all know how the charity bowl-a-thon would end. Plus I can see him severely pissing off his cohort when they have to spend all weekend doing a group project and Jeff leaves at 9pm on the first night and then doesn't show up at all on Sunday because he had to go to church in the morning and to his neighbor's third-cousin's cosmetology school graduation party in the afternoon.

Knowing Bushie, he probably wouldn't have been able to get into a real school (I doubt his record at NWOSU is that impressive, since he never answered my question about his grades/classes, and who would write him a letter of recommendation? Russ Powers?) so he'd end up going to the University of Phoenix or some other for-profit online school. After all, the worst, most expensive option is always the best in Bushlahoma.

What kind of graduate program doesn't have events with alcohol? That's the craziest thing I've ever heard.

Alcohol isn't allowed on campus, period (state law, not necessarily MSU policy). Yes, the administration looks the other way on frat parties and football games as long as nothing too rowdy happens, but no officially-sanctioned on campus event is going to have it.

Now, if there were an off-campus mixer at a restaurant, people may order it on their own dime, but I don't remember having any of those during my MBA days. Maybe there was one during marching band practice one time (meaning I couldn't go and had a legit excuse not to)? Mostly it was on-campus lunch stuff.

That is insane. AFAIK, alcohol is allowed on campus at all public schools in Texas and I assumed that was par for the course in all states. Most of them have at least one bar on campus, or have restaurants on campus that serve alcohol.

This is what happens when you let Southern Baptists have run of state government. HPs...

I'm told that if you go to the admissions office of Harvard Business School in person and tell them Big Russ sent you, they are required to offer you admission and a full scholarship on the spot, no questions asked (once they stop trembling with fear).

Wow, clearly I need to go to the South to get my MBA (assuming there is a legitimate school south of the Mason Dixon - in other words, guess I can't).

Sure there are.

ODF is practicing economic forecasting and economic history without a license. Ugh.

it isnt going better than his weather forecasting, apparently.  Smiley

If it's the forecasting and history of his own finances, then I assume it's wishful thinking bordering on delusion, and implausible denial, respectively.

Well, it might be a recession for oil states like Texas and Oklahoma. Low oil prices will stimulate growth for everyone else, though.

At least Oklahoma has its lucrative Call Center-Industrial Complex to fall back on.

I thought that just the name Spaghetti Warehouse sounded hilarious for a restaurant, but then I looked it up and their main attraction is a completely random trolley that they place in the middle of the restaurant lol. This place spells Bushie all over it! It befuddles me that he hasn't gone here yet! Tongue

When my elementary school classes would sometimes venture to downtown Houston for field trips, we were always giddy with anticipation if lunch at Spaghetti Warehouse was on the agenda.

0315 - Wake up
0400 - Watch the official birth of 2015 in Kiritimati, Kiribati.
0515 - Get Ready for Work
0700 - Drive to Work

I am so confused...why wouldn't you just wake up at 4:00 to watch...whatever you're watching? Why do you need 45 minutes to get ready for that? If you're going to shower and dress and all that anyway at that time, then why are you spending nearly two hours getting ready for work later on?

How much did you pay End Times Ministries for that knowledge?

None.  It's free on their "Prophecy in the News" section.

If the End Times® really are imminent, don't you feel guilty about ignoring Irvin Baxter's urgent pleas for donations to the Another Jewish Holocaust Fund?

I don't know if Mr. Baxter will be able to match the grand scale and ruthless efficiency of Hitler's original Holocaust, no matter how much money he raises for his endeavor.

Suspicion: Bushie's shift of focus away from Christmas is due to the fact that nobody is giving him any presents this year since they have realized they spend too much money on him all the time and he never provides or offers anything in return (e.g. he has never bought his parents a Christmas present except possibly at some point with their own money)

Sounds like he gets whatever he wants throughout the year anyway. I don't know how many other 32 year olds get their parents to go to Office Depot and buy them a new office chair because the other one couldn't support his weight was bad for his back.

Not to hate on Pacific Islanders, but by what metric is Kiribati "civilized?" It's a very poor, remote nation. If I wanted to exclude those people I would start with New Zealand. It's the easternmost developed nation. Or does "civilized" merely mean majority Christian? Will ODF be abstaining from celebrating the New Year with the Japanese because they are destined to spend eternity in an agonizing lake of fire?

Jeff would give the Japanese the Mr. Garrison South Park Christmas Special treatment.

"Now I heard that in Japan,
Everyone just lives in sin.
They pray to several gods
And put needles in their skin.

On December twenty-fifth
All they do is eat a cake.
And that's why I'll go to Japan
And walk around and say...

Hey there, Mr. Shintoist!
Merry #$%@ing Christmas!
God is gonna kick your @$$,
You infidelic pagan scum!

In case you haven't noticed,
There's festive things to do.
So let's all rejoice for Jesus and
Merry @#$%ing Christmas to you!"

I think Bushie would make a very compelling missionary to non-Christian Africa.

He represents a religion where despite the fact that he is generally a horrible, lazy, self-centered person with zero self-discipline, despite taking financial and personal advantage of his parents and grandmother, despite engaging in gluttony and sloth and envy on a regular basis, he's still "saved" and doesn't ever have to do anything to atone for or rectify his behavior. I'd say it sounds like a pretty sweet deal compared to people asking you to blow yourself up.

Why did you get a new laptop?  Didn't Papa buy you a new one when you went to MetroTech?

The one we got is a stationary desktop computer.  Touch screen desktop, but still not portable.  I wanted a new one that I could lug around with me pretty easily.  I will use both computers extensively.  In short, I just wanted one.

Not everything has to make financial sense.  You don't really have to question every decision I make.  Nor do you have to bring my Facebook to the forum.  I've let it slide, but it's still rather unethical.

No, but when you're an adult, some things must make financial sense. And nothing in your life makes any financial sense.

Good evening, folks.  I am posting for the first time on Luke Skywalker (my new laptop)!

Jabba was taken?

No, I just drafted Luke first!

Well try to not lay about like a Hutt and use it to be productive.

I'm planning on using it as my main finance hub.  I am going to invest in the latest edition of Quicken in the next few days, maybe tomorrow after church.  It will not be plagued with porn.

Oh for f#$%'s sake, Jeff, why do you need to spend $50 on Quicken? If you want to attempt to create a monthly budget, there are plenty of free Excel spreadsheet templates available online. It's not like you have any assets to your name that are worth keeping track of - only debts. And your creditors will always make sure that you are well aware of how much you still owe them.
