Burger King's burgers are far better than McDonald's... but they're still not good enough to actually eat (I haven't had a fast food hamburger in years).  Whereas McD's has good fries and breaded chicken things.  So I guess I'd have to choose McD's between the two.

I don't know if it actually counts as "fast food", but my favorite chain is Qdoba.
