Pretty centrist overall, with a slight lean to the right on taxes and regulation (i.e. generally against them, but more willing to be pragmatic the House GOP caucus).  Haven't seen him really ever express a view on social issues, so I'll assume a live-and-let-live attitude that doesn't care for culture warriors of either side.  Would probably be a moderate Republican if they still existed. Seems like a fairly standard urban left-liberal with generally well-considered opinions. Interested in transportation policy and doesn't like cars very much, which I think is commendable. I'd imagine not a fan of Robert Moses.

Yeah, dude was basically a Sith Lord.  Have to give him credit for inventing restroom changing tables, though (yes really).
