Voted around 5:45, there wasn't really a
line per se but there were a few other people there as well. Was #115 for my precinct, which is higher than I had expected.
And "higher than I expected" is actually not so great here, because a large part of my precinct is Orthodox territory and I'm pretty sure they're not voting Zephyr.
...
Oh, and my Assemblywoman is retiring after 38 years, so there was another important vote to cast. Which, after over an hour of trying to do research, I still don't feel informed enough on. I wish that Streetsblog had given one of their endorsements in my neck of the woods.
I will add, just as an anecdote, that my GF- who is Jewish- got a mailer from one of the candidates that included some Hebrew lettering and talking about how said candidate would "stand by Israel"... and then promptly decided that was super distasteful and she wouldn't vote for that candidate. "I'm the wrong type of Jew for this! Bad targeting!" she sez.
She was less offended by the Hochul mailer focusing on women's issues, but of course voted Teachout/Wu anyway.
