Humphrey, even though it would have taken a big swing toward Humphrey to give him a majority of EVs (as without that majority Wallace would control the process). I think the behind the scenes finagling vis-a-vis Nixon and Vietnam in the final days of the campaign resulted in missing a historic opportunity. I can't help but think race relations would have been better.
