Zachary Taylor is the latest of our commander in chiefs, but certainly not the last, to be voted off the island.   And this officially slams the door on any hope that the now defunked Whig party possibly had to have a winner in this game.

Well it was pretty calm today, atleast compared to the last two days.   But will that hold up?   Has the storm passed?   Or is this mearly the calm in the eye of the storm?   It's time to find out.   This game has more plots and twists than a chessy day time soap oprah.    It's time for me to shut up now and officially raise the curtain on Round 16.

And for legal purposes, yes voting does still end at midnight eastern time:

I just got a quick announcement to make.   A few rounds ago we had a contreversial vote, I'm sure most of you know which one I'm talking about.    Now if that round had come down to one vote, I would have been in a real mess in trying to determine whether or not to count that vote.   And no matter which way I would have gone, one side would have felt screwed.    Fortunantly, there was enough difference in the vote count that it wouldn't have mattered anyways.

But just in case an incident ever comes up like this in the future, I've asked two people (one a democrat and the other an independent) to judge along with me whether to count that vote.   Hopefully, we wont have anymore controversies over votes and I'll never have to call on these guys for their judgements.    But if one ever does, and the outcome of a round hinges on the controversy, then I will have  Emsworth (a democrat), and Liberty (an independent), along with myself (a republican) to judge the controversy.   This way we'll have one from each side and hopefully everyone will be happy.    Like I said, hopefully we won't have anymore controversial votes and I'll never have to ask these guys to judge anything.     Smiley

Okay Kids.    Time to pull the plug on this round.   Voting for Round 16 is now closed.    Just give me a minute to let me do my thing, and then I'll let you all do your thing.

Well the "Eliminate Lincoln campaign" that's been headed up by States Rights since the begining of the game picked up some steam this round, but it wasn't quite enough.   Here are the final results from round 16:

Benjamin Harrison - 15

Abraham Lincoln - 7

James Garfield - 4

George W. Bush - 4

George H. W. Bush - 2

Bill Clinton - 2

Gerald Ford - 2

Calvin Coolidge - 1

Richard Nixon - 1

BENJAMIN HARRISON, CONSIDER YOUR WELCOME ON THIS ISLAND OFFICIALLY WORN OUT.    YOU ARE THE NEXT U.S PRESIDENT TO BE VOTED OFF THE ISLAND AND ELIMINATED FROM PRESIDENTIAL SURVIVOR.   IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO LEAVE

PRESIDENT BENJAMIN HARRISON, THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN!!

<torch extinguished>

I'll turn you all loose on the Round 17 thread in a few minutes.
