Seriously? You're blaming Clinton for not being ahead of regional and national support for the Confederate flag in the 70s and 80s? There were widows of Confederate veterans still alive in those decades. It was only a couple decades beyond Civil Rights. George Wallace was still alive. You're talking about practically a different country at this point.

Also, I don't get the point of this thread. Bill Clinton is not on the ballot. Shame on those defending him though.

Yep, it's true. In the 1920s and 1930s, there were a few incredibly old Civil War veterans who married much younger women.
