The Reasonable Taxation Commitment

In recognition of the fact that hardworking Atlasians have a rightful claim to their hard-earned incomes, the Republic of Atlasia shall never set a personal income tax rate, for any tax bracket whatsoever, at higher than fifty percent.

Yeah, I'm concious of that. I'm mostly just interested in gauging how much support there would be for something like this. It may or may not dictate some future plans I have for my tenure in the senate. It sure would be nice to enshrine a policy like this one in the constitution... I see from the last budget debate that we were dangerously close to some ridiculous tax rates. Wink

As it stands now though, this commitment would not be legally binding.
