January 4th
NBC News, Nightly News - 6:30

Brian Williams:

Hackensack, New Jersey. After having a lecture about his last book “The Seventeen Traditions” in the Fairleigh Dickinson University, the consumer advocate and former presidential candidate Ralph Nader announced his intentions to seek another bid for the presidency of the United States. He started his campaign at a small press meeting in an office in Hackensack, saying in the beginning of the event that he would like to be the Green Party’s Nominee.

Nader told that he would make a “.com” campaign putting all his efforts on grassroots campaigning, internet fundraising and interactive debates with internet users. “Doing a campaign as usual is really expansive and I think that using millions of dollars on advertisement is not the right way to convince people” told Nader.

Not surprisingly, the 2000 election was an issue that many reporters asked him, based on a common felling between democrats and republican that a Nader Bid means a spoiler for the any democratic candidate.

"I would like to thank all of those across the political spectrum the are advocating for my participation on the debates! That is why I'm announcing the #DebatingNader Movement! Our campaign would also support the participation of Michael Bloomberg on the Debates."

January 8th

Official Kick-Off of his campaign:
*Fundraising
*Rally
*Introduction of his Campaign staff
*Campaign Headquarter New York City

MSNBC News, Rachel Maddow Show - 7:30.

Rachel Maddow:

It seems now that Ralph Nader finally took up a fight on the election. Today at a big stadium in New York City he has officially started his campaign operations. In one night, he got the help of thousands of internet supporters and achieved to fundraise one million dollars for his presidential bid.

He announced his new campaign manager, Theresa Amato, and appointed his friend Matt Gonzalez to be responsible for getting ballot-access to his campaign on every state. Theresa Amato is known by her amazing record of transforming the disorganized 2000’s Nader campaign into a successful third party bid, having the best electoral result with a progressive since La Follete, and that was 1924!

John Goodman on Negative Ad Pact

"As every one knows, I have been completely opposed to negative campaigning since I entered this race- I am glad to see my fellow candidates follow suit"

The Nader Campaign share the same belief, No one should be dishonestly attacking the other campaigns! That is why we are asking that every Candidate jus KEEP CALM and CARRY ON.

OOC: If I were Oprah, I would give up of this presidential bid. She is making things harder to other anti-estabilishment candidates such as Howard Dean or President Obama. It would be better if she withdrawn and help those two guys. If she keeps going with this campaign, she will help Lincoln and Matheson.

Quotes from Bill Gates

'I like Ralph Nader's ad it speaks to me and while I agree with what he's proposing imposing those standards during an economic crisis is only going to cause industry to suffer, if I was your president I would protect the environment however unlike Nader I'd make sure it doesn't cripple America's struggling economy.'

I'm sorry Bill, but Economic Growth can goes with Environmental Protection. My plan is not based just on adding spending, we are going to completely change the economic dynamics by rewarding a environmental-friendly and healthy way of life and by punishing an unhealthy and dirty lifestyle. We are not making the economy to struggle, the industry will reinvent itself.

I mean, if we stop putting billions of dollars on our military complex and on useless corporate welfare, we can save money to other stuff. Instead of investing on an Cold-War Military let's put more money on good public services, let's invest on new green infrastructure and on new green energy, Americans support that ideas and that is the way to move forward.

If this election ends up being Obama vs McCain I'm going to be sad. Even if we have a buttload of third parties.

I've got a few interesting tricks I can pull off... look forward to a very interesting announcement in the next few weeks.

Another third party run? Surprise

OOC: Hope not. We are trying to get 5%

Week 7

?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
