It originally starts as a battle between Christie and Rubio. But because of their bickering, Paul picks up Iowa, and gains momentum throughout. Rubio, not able to get any traction out of the south, late in the season endorses Rand Paul. Its the conservatives vs. the moderates, and yet some of Rand Paul's social positions, such as his states rights stance on marijuana, manages him to sweep the last primaries.
