Flo doing some strong voter turnout, and it looks like even if he loses, he'll probably get his seat back thanks to write-in second prefs over Devin.

The first poll for the April Senate race has been released for the public:

Conclusion of Senate poll
Senator Alfred Jones (Lab-RI) - 17.1%
Senator Shua (DR-VA) - 14.6%
Senator Lumine (TPP-WY) - 12.2%
Former Senator Simfan (TPP-CA) - 12.2%
PA Speaker Flo (Ind-FL) - 9.8%
Senator Talleyrand (Lab-VT) - 9.8%
Senator Goldwater (Fed-DE) - 9.8%
NE Assemblyman Deus (DR-NY) - 7.3%
ME Assemblyman JCL (Fed-IN) - 4.9%
Someone Else   - 2.4%

As it turns out, while the field is rather scattered, there is a top tier: Above 10% is Alfred F. Jones, riding out with maximum Labor support, Shua, combining Federalist appeal with Democratic Republican appeal, and Simfan and Lumine, both members of the small but very powerful The People's Party. The rest is scattered, a three way tie [Senator Talleyrand announced in the midst of polling that he would not be a candidate for re-election] for fifth may break in favor of Flo should he gain back the trust of Laborites, leaving Senator Goldwater in some trouble. Lastly is Northeast Assemblyman Deus, who might not run on account of Senator shua's presence, and Mideast Assemblyman JCL, who gets the last bit of support among Federalists.

Ladies and gentlemen, if there is a field this big, we have a race on our hands

I am only doing the first round: the numbers get rough later on.

Adam Griffin - 18
Goldwater - 17

Alfred F. Jones - 15
Shua - 15
Lumine - 14
JCL - 13
a Person - 2
WI: Napoleon - 1
WI: Snowstalker - 1

Goldwater and Adam Griffin win on the first ballot, surplus is distributed in ways.

Does voting for NOTA in any preference mean NOTA is the vote? I think that's what I remember.

My full numbers are weak, but I think Shua narrowly beats JCL for that final seat on the Senate. The rest of the Senate is Adam Griffin, Alfred Jones, Lumine, and Goldwater.

This is the closest he's come to a Senate seat, and credit to the Federalists for turning out well for him. Still, probably cause of vote splitting, Labor candidates beat Federalist candidates (37%-31%).

Luckily, I'm not a Fed anymore, so I don't have to deal with these complaints Smiley

Just glad the D-R's continue to send a representative to the halls of the Senate.
