Don't forget the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor for 1941, although I think you mentioned that when you said "America joins WW2."  What about 1963 (JFK's assasssination)?  I don't know what I would say, but probably, in order:

1. 1865
2. 1776
3. 1860
4. 1968
5. 1941
6. 2001
7. 1945
