How vulnerable exactly is Mark Pryor? Only a few months a go, he was in Mark Begich territory; In a red state with pretty good approval ratings. Then he voted against gun control and Demorats turned against him, and now he's in pure tossup. We haven't seen any real polls lately of the race, only GOP polls. So how vulnerable is he really, and how are his approvals?

I'd love for Tom Cotton to lose just to see his star fade. The guy is legally insane.

Cotton is one opportunistic little dick. It'd be one thing if he held office prior to being elected to Cingress. But he's announcing a run for Senate only 7 months after actualy being sworn into any office.

Someone needs to tell Pryor that the only way he can beat Cotton is if he abandons this Moderate Heroism strategy that Blanche alincoln embraced and run as a Populist. It's worked for Tester, Heitkampt, and Landrieu.

Uh. No. This is a minor gaffe if anything. Pryor flat out says seconds before that he respects and is grateful for Cotton's service in the military. All he said was that fighting in Iraq doesn't qualify you to be US Senator. Would any of you argue that it does? sawx? RB?

What are Pryor's quals again? At any rate I think this was a strange tangent of his even stranger "reverse carpetbagger" narrative which was once used against Bubba. Plus starpower resentment that we saw from Crist/Dewhurst.
He was in the Arkansas House of Reps for 4 years and State Attorney General for another 4 years. That's 8 years of experience that Cotton doesn't have.

Source around 1:30.

"I have total respect for that, I appreciate that, I will never criticize anyone for their service for our country and I thank him for that... In the Senate we have all kinds of different people, all kinds of different folks who have come from all kinds of different backgrounds, and I think that's part of this sense of entitlement that he gives off... is that almost it's like "I served in the military, therefore, elect me to the Senate." That isn't how it works in Arkansas.

Please, Clinton, explain to me how this isn't a dig at Cotton's military service, because I'm dying to know.
Because he's saying that serving in the military doesn't qualify on to be elected to the Senate. And it doesn't.  None of us would argue that it would. He plainly states that he respects and appreciates Cotton's service, but that it doesn't qualify him for service in the Senate.

Money quote from that article I posted: "Mark Pryor followed his dad into politics. I followed my dad into the infantry." I guess he'll take shots at Bubba too when the time comes.
I don't know if the whole "career politician" thing is gonna hold much sway coming from a guy trying to hopscotch from House to Senate in a matter of months without doing any actual bill-sponsoring (IE governing).

It was aiight. But it still reinforces Pryor's assertion, which this ad is attacking him for, that Cotton is running on his military service as something that qualifies him for Senate.
