I think defending gun rights has become only slightly easier than defending NAMBLA.

I almost died when I was three because I choked on a cracker. Guess we should put crackers on the things to ban list.

Show me proof that it's easy to suffocate multiple people to death with crackers and I might consider pulling this statement apart piece by piece.

It seems darkly comical to call for gun restrictions because of this sort of thing, but I've learnt to expect it.

The family friend who owned the gun left it in reach of a child even though he knew the child was living there. It was loaded, bullet in the chamber, safety off. Charge him with gross negligence or something equivalent.

This is the correct offence IMO.
