So, if MLP is communist, which cartoon is fascist?

Actually, I've discussed this with a couple of other fans of the show and we've all agreed that Cloudsdale (Rainbow Dash's hometown) is pretty close to a model fascist society, moreso than any other place in Equestria. So it's ironic that the person who made this chose to use Rainbow Dash (mostly because she's the only character has a saluting scene in the show). IRL, Rainbow Dash often gets associated with leftism/liberalism, mostly because of the obvious queer connotations. If she were to actually exist, though, leaving aside the lesbian thing, I'd see her as having either fascist or maybe some sort of authoritarian leftist (Leninist perhaps) political views, drifting slightly away from them and becoming more politically moderate/conflicted after Season 1. Her Element of Harmony is loyalty, and overall there's a lot of quasi-militarism associated with her in a number of episodes.

Anyway, about yours, that guy's mustache really really bothers me. Appearantly I'm not the only one.

Equestria seems to be more of a despotic monarchy than anything else. Tongue

I'd say Princess Celestia's rule is best characterized as an enlightened despotism.

As for Antonio, that cartoon could apply to many more places than just Italy Tongue

My feelings about marriage equality are complicated but ultimately I hope they do too.

How does that mascot translate into the "Shockers"? For that matter, what is a "Shocker" (other than a sports team)? Granted, "The Scarecrows" doesn't sound all that cool for a sports team, although it would be much more appropriate for Kansas.

Tempted to make some TMI comment about genitals but I won't. Instead I'll just say that it reminds me he used to have that girl from Die Antword in blackface in his sig.

I'm interested in this liberal christianity thing (even though I'm agnostic/atheistish), but I could see how a conservative could use that same passage in a very different way, as in welfare recipients "getting things they didn't earn". If if weren't for the insertion of "the poor" at the end, it would be very ambiguous. I guess just another example of how the bible can be interpreted so many different ways.

Having not read the Update but hearing what other people say about it, I don't think I wanna know what happened to Bushie on a carnival cruise ship...
