Hello everyone, I’m windjammer, a member of the liberal party  and I’m running for the Midwest Legislature!  I haven’t political experience and I hope that the Midwesters will give me their trust! I define myself as a pragmatic liberal, who won't hesitate to make a compromise!

My economic  views:
-   Crony capitalism and Socialism aren’t beneficial for the economy.  Ultra-liberalism tends to become an oligarchy where few people control all and People are exploited (read Bobby Pendragon The Quillan Games Tongue).  However,  the Soviet Union is a strong example of the inefficacy of an omnipresent state. That’s why I support a moderate  State intervention!

-   Education must be its top priority. As a member of the legislature, I will fight for a better educational system. We must increase this spending!  All young people must have a chance to realize the American Dream.  We have to help their upward mobility. It will serve the business to have more skilled workers who will produce a better production.

-   What’s more,  we must grant a minimum standard living for all Midwesters. That’s why I support Obamacare and I’m favorable for a minimum wage. A great society must take care of its constituents!

-   However, I’m pro business and I will support measures which will encourage job creation. If businesses want to invest, we must encourage them: they should receive a tax deduction for instance!

-   I’m fiscally conservative too. We have to avoid a state deficit, state spending must be balanced! However, I won’t support a balanced budget amendment because during a recession, it can be necessary to increase state spending  to reliance the Midwest economy.

(my social views are coming)
I hope to get your endorsement and your vote!
Thank you,
Windjammer

Thank you for your endorsements!

My social views:
-I strongly oppose death penalty. We can't decide who will be able to live or not. It doesn't resolve problems. What's more, it's really expensive.
-I'm pro-choice. I understand pro-life's arguments but Life doesn't begin at the conception according to me. That's why I don't abortion as a murder. It's clearly the women who have to choose if they want to keep their baby or not! However, I recognize that it's a difficult issue and abortion must be limited and the best way is to promote sex education in all school!
-I'm neutral on drugs, prostitution: as an assemblyman I will vote: "present" if this bill is pro pr anti drugs (or prostitution).
-I strongly support gay rights. I will always vote all bills which will be favorable for this population.

Endorsed, but I do have a question.

Do you have any particular proposals and plans ready for the Althing?

It's coming Wink

Any reason for that particular lack of political courage?

Lack of political courage? You see, Atlasia is composed by Libertarians and progressists and the great majority of them supports marijuana law. A lack of courage: I strongly favor Marijuana even if it's not the case, just to be elected. No you see, I'm juste undecided. It's not lack of courage!
