No, all third party votes do not help Trump. The several republicans/libertarians that supported Mitt Romney last time but are voting Johnson this time are helping Clinton by forcing Trump to make up votes that would have been pretty reliable in almost any other election. Third party votes in places like NY, CA, OK, WY, etc, are also not helping anyone because those states are not going to swing.
Hearing young people make jaded arguments against idealism would be and is incredibly troubling.
